Charlee & Grayson’s Favorite Smoothie

I have two special guests today to share their favorite breakfast smoothie, Grayson & Charlee! I will be sharing a bit of childhood nutrition here because I think it is important to cultivate good eating habits when they are young. It is still a work in progress at our house, that is why I love smoothies. It is the easiest way to sneak in some greens. They also love helping out in the kitchen. Being able to make their own smoothies makes it that much more exciting to have.

Here is Grayson & Charlee’s favorite smoothie:

Ingredients:
frozen spinach
1/3 frozen banana 
10oz almond milk
1 scoop of chocolate protein
2 tbsp chia seeds

Directions
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

We don’t overload on the fruit because I don’t want them to start their day off on a sugar high and crash just as they get to school. That can have an effect on how they feel and their ability to take in all they are learning throughout the day.
